The Aqua Velva line was released in 1929 as a mouth wash. The manufacturer JB Williams Companysoon discovered its appeal to young man as an after shave and launched a nationalwide campaign in 1931, with extremely nice, colourful advertisiments. The alcohol content of original Aqua Velva was high enough to actually inspire US sailors in World War II to use it as a substitute for alcoholic beverages. In the fifties Aqua Velva became famous by the claim "There's Something About An Aqua Velva Man". Aqua Velva became so popular that it has been used by generations and many reminds of hiss father's or grandfather's fragrance.

It smells extremely nice, masculine, elegant, powdery. The base notes are labdanum, musk, amber, moss and leather. The middle notes are clary sage, jasmin, vetiver, sandal and cedarwood. The Top notes are bergamot, lavender, peppermint, petitgrain and lemon.

There exists even a cocktail named "Aqua Velva" which also has a blue colour. To use this after shave splash Aqua Velva on your face after shaving for immediate cooling.

The after shave is packaged in a new shatterproof plastic bottle.
